Longwood Gardens Maternity Portraits with Katie
Join Katie and I at Longwood Gardens for these stunning maternity portraits. This is hands down one of my favorite locations (of all time). To me, it’s the ultimate local botanical garden.
She absolutely pops against the beautiful nature backgrounds of Longwood Gardens during her maternity portraits.
Something that this maternity session really reminded me of is just how important it is to choose your location wisely! Choose based on what’s important to you. A big part of working with your photographer is picking the perfect place that encapsulates your personality and the overall feel you want your portrait to hold.
If the location is not a mirror of you, I promise you won’t feel too comfortable during the shoot or with the final product.
So to help you choose the ideal location, here are just a few examples for you.
If you are a big fan of nature and want a fresh, clean, and bright aesthetic go with parks, gardens, or fields. It’ll give you the feel of being one with trees, flowers, and greenery! In that case a location like this one (Longwood Gardens!) is perfect for you.
What about those of you who are a big fan of street style and love architecture and the city? Do for big buildings, traffic lights, busy streets match your vibe? Then let’s take your portraits at a historic landmark, small downtown, or a big city for your dream session.
Or are you a big fan of the indoors? Want to be sheltered from any kind of weather? Need to be surrounded with your familiar surroundings, a space you designed yourself, and a home you’re really proud of? Let’s do an at home shoot in your living room, bedroom, nursery, or a milk bath portrait session!
I have an endless list of perfect locations that are off the beaten path, on the beaten path, or anywhere in between. I pride myself in not just sending a random list of locations with no thought behind them. First I get to know your hopes, dreams, and personality!
This was Katie’s first session with me and she was the sweetest. I can only commend her for braving the heat and walking around in heels while pregnant.
She already holds so much love for her lil boy on the way, so much so that I could physically FEEL her joy.
