Surprise Beach Proposal | Cape Henlopen State Park Delaware | Portraits
As a photographer, I’ve been known to wear many hats, whether that be within my business or within my art form. And I love it when my clients challenge me and I get to put on a new hat. For this session I was able to bring out my sleuth photographer hat. If you know me, you know that I love a good surprise proposal, but a surprise beach proposal? That is top tier romance!
Meet Elise and Brian! My surprise beach proposal love birds.
Once Brian knew he wanted to propose to Elise, he knew he wanted the moment to reflect how special Elise is to him, and he knew he wanted it documented for the two of them. So Brian reached out to me wanting to plan out that proposal at Cape Henlopen State Park here in Delaware.
I was so excited as soon as he told me the plan. And I couldn’t wait until the day of the proposal.
This was the point when I put on my best sneaky pants to best blend in and look like a casual beach goer. (I did pretty well with this if I do say so myself) Surprise proposals are a bit of a fun waiting game, so we waited! While we waited, I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Cape Henlopen State Park. Looking out over where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean as we waited for her friends to bring her to the proposal spot.
In case you were wondering, we pulled it off beautifully! She said an enthusiastic YES to his proposal. And Elise was so excited to take some portraits after the big question. check them out below!
