30th Birthday Photoshoot with Nicole in the Midwest
The festivities of Nicoles 30th golden birthday continued on with this fun boho photoshoot. After we did the first half of her celebratory portraits indoors complete with an explosion of color and retro aesthetic we had one more session to do!
She wanted to do a part two of her 30th birthday photoshoot to showcase her midwest side.
And it didn’t take much to bring that vision to life. We made this magic with a sheet, chair, and bouquet of flowers. I’ve always seen a sheet in the woods type of portraits and was so excited to finally execute it myself.
Portraits look magical when you base them off of YOU. This is the time to let your personality shine through.
And it’s so important that you make sure to keep the session authentic to who you are! Because it will show on camera if you feel uncomfortable or out of place. So be sure to choose a theme or outfit or location that coincides with your essence.
You can have the coolest location, most aesthetic props, and the best outfit but if it doesn’t reflect who you are, it won’t be anything like how you imagine it. Don’t let your photoshoot fall flat!
You have to be 100% comfortable and in love with the details so you can truly shine through your portraits.
And that’s not something a professional camera and editing can put in there.
Get yourself a photographer who cares about your final product. Who actually gets to know you as an individual. Who wants portraits (that just like this 30th birthday photoshoot) match with who you are.
Just like Nicole did in this photo session, pick a theme that means something to you and communicate that vision to your photographer.
That’s how you get magical celebratory portraits that you’ll love for years to come. Because being true to who you are is always timeless.
