Artist Branding Portraits | Kassandra at KASH Collections

I love stretching out my creative mind by reaching for a new facet of photography. Especially when it’s a new twist on a form of photography I love doing already. When Kassandra approached me with the idea of these artist branding portraits, (A first for me!) I was ready to go.

Meet Kass! She is the small biz owner behind KASH Collections. And she is an amazing artist! (Just check out her work here.) Fun fact for you! Kassandra and I went to college together and we even had a few classes together. But even though our pathed crossed back then, we never got close or became friends at that time. It wasn’t until after we graduated that she inquired for a session with me. And we hit it off right away and became friends then. Timing is a funny thing, and I love the way it works.

Because a year later, she’s now opened up her very own business and asked me to take some artist branding headshots for her.

These were so much fun because I’ve never photographed an artist before and I got to see her in her element.

How fun and colorful are these?! We used the colors in her paintings and her studio to show her artistic style and business direction. The also show her personal artistic flair, in both her painting style and her joyous personality.

But she does more than what we see here in these branding portraits. She also has a booming TikTok where she teaches people how to paint like her. And she even posted how she made the Christmas gift she gave me this year (spoiler alert: it’s an orca whale and I LOVE IT. It lives on my desk now)
