Sunflower Field Maternity Portraits | Fifer Orchards
As we approach summer, I started thinking about the Fifer Orchard and these sunflower field maternity portraits. You see, every summer Fifers opens up their sunflower and Zinnia fields. And every year it amazes me to see all the rows and rows of vibrant flowers.
Meet Nichole and Matt!
Nichole and I planned this maternity portrait session for a while before she was ready for her photoshoot. And from the time we first spoke about the maternity photos, I knew a sunflower field would be the perfect backdrop for this celebratory session.
And it went so well! Nichole’s blue maternity dresses were right in line with the very hot day. It was June and it felt like it! But it was so much fun and you could never tell that we were all melting out there. They were true troopers for braving the June heat.
But my favorite thing about these sunflower field maternity portraits weren’t the beautiful flowers or the flowing dress Nichole wore.
The best part was that you could really feel the connection between these two. You could feel the joy radiating off the parents-to-be as they awaited their baby. And it was beautiful to see.
It was a great reminder that the backdrop doesn’t always matter. What does matter is the feeling behind the session. Because wherever we take your maternity portraits will be that much more spectacular then.
So what if you want to take your maternity portraits at the sunflower field in Fifer Orchards?
Well, the sunflower and zinnia fields open up in late June so it will probably be pretty hot out! The field doesn’t allow props for photography sessions, but don’t worry, the flowers are such a beautiful backdrop that you won’t even think about props. But photography sessions are welcome with purchase of entry for both the photographer and clients. And if after (or during) your session you want to pick some flowers make sure to bring your own shears and bucket to collect your bouquet!
